Magnificent blue. Boundless. Your waves crash
Unmitigated, Pure.
It’s like you know the cure for the inconsolable romantic in me
Salt water.
The sun.
An adventure, perhaps
It’s like you’ve known all along.
That all my soul really needed, was this unabated force.
The trailblazer to my willful abandon.
I’m giving in. I’m giving it all.
And this is everything you’ve told me I’ll ever need.
Here, I choose.
Viridescence, or Azure.
Do I let go? Will you?
Though only you know, this is not a choice.
If I’m ever the kaleidoscope, you’re everything I’ll need to weave my infinite pattern.
But you were the untempered waters all along.
I love that third line, and the photo really fits the prompt to a t. Lovely poem.
